Serie A Injury Report – Round 33

Atalanta: Robin Gosens was a late scratch against Juventus, but he has been called up and therefore avoided serious problems. Luis Muriel suffered a head trauma in a domestic incident, but he is fine and will be back for the next match.

Bologna: Federico Santander and Andrea Poli have recovered from their thigh injuries. Mattia Bani is pretty much done for the season with a calf strain. Jerdy Schouten (thigh) will be back in a pair of weeks.

Brescia: Jesse Joronen is out with an undisclosed injury, joining Andrea Cistana (tibia), Enrico Alfonso and Dimitri Bisoli (patellar tendon) on the mend.

Cagliari: Radja Nainggolan aggravated his calf issue and is probably going to miss this upcoming one. Christian Oliva might come back from an ankle sprain, while Luca Pellegrini will not. Luca Ceppitelli and Gaston Pereiro were called up for the last game.

Fiorentina: Franck Ribery subbed off again but it looks like it was just a precautionary move.

Genoa: Domenico Criscito, Stefano Sturaro and Cristian Romero were named in the initial squad list for the SPAL game, but they were unavailable due to dings and bruises. The first one to come back should be the captain.

Inter: Diego Godin is suspended. Romelu Lukaku is nursing an adductor problem which is not very severe. Niccolò Barella has a chance to return here from a similar injury, Victor Moses was announced back for the previous game, but then ended up on the stands. Matias Vecino’s knee flared up again and he might be shut down.

Juventus: Juan Cuadrado is disqualified. Merih Demiral re-joined the rest of the group in practice and so he might be called up. Mattia De Sciglio (thigh) does not appear to be ready.

Lazio: Adam Marusic is trying to come back from a thigh strain, Joaquin Correa will stay out with a knee sprain.

Lecce: Gianluca Lapadula and Biagio Meccariello are iffy due to ankle and knee sprains. Marco Calderoni subbed off in the past game due to a thigh problem, Filippo Falco because of knee pain: Calderoni is out while Falco has been called up. Luca Rossettini is without a timetable due to a virus. Gianluca Lapadula is back after an ankle sprain. 

Milan: Alexis Saelemaekers was sent off against Napoli. Samu Castillejo and Leo Duarte will not return from their thigh problems in this round. Lucas Paqueta was a late scratch due to MCL soreness in the left knee. 

Napoli: only Kevin Malcuit and Fernando Llorente are on the shelf.

Parma: Matteo Scozzarella suffered a calf strain and he might be done for the season. Andreas Cornelius is back in the squad list, while Juraj Kucka is absent out of the blue.

Roma: Chris Smalling is doubtful as he is working his way back from an adductor pull. Juan Jesus has been dealing with a hip injury for a while now, Davide Santon is nursing a calf strain. Antonio Mirante (calf) and Federico Fazio (ankle) were not called up. 

Sampdoria: Gaston Ramirez bowed out in the last game due to a knock to the ankle, but it was nothing too serious. Lorenzo Tonelli and Ronaldo Vieira will probably be forced to sit out another one with their knee ailments. Alex Ferrari is back after an ACL tear. 

Sassuolo: Pedro Obiang and Gregoire Defrel are out with thigh strains. Rogerio suffered a head trauma in practice and will likely be sidelined. 

SPAL: Ervin Zukanovic is recovering from an ankle issue, Mattia Valoti and Mohamed Fares with thigh ones. Only the defender has some chances.

Torino: no absentees other than Daniele Baselli who is out till October at least with an ACL tear.

Udinese: Sebastian Prodl keeps rehabbing tendonitis in his knee.

Verona: Marash Kumbulla picked up a hand injury and is questionable. Fabio Borini (thigh), Giampaolo Pazzini (thigh), Salvatore Bocchetti (knee) and Pawel Dawidowicz (pec) will be last-minute calls, while Mattia Zaccagni, Eddie Salcedo and Valentin Eysseric returned from their injuries in the last tilt. Claud Adjapong suffered a thigh strain.
