Atalanta: Hans Hateboer and Cristian Romero played against Liverpool but they are still hampered by thigh problems. Robin Gosens (calf) and Marten De Roon (thigh) are trying fast recoveries but they have slim chances to be available. Cristiano Piccini (thigh) and Mattia Caldara (knee) are out.

Benevento: Gianluca Caprari was handed a two-game ban following last week’s red card. Federico Barba is back, Iago Falque is not. Alessandro Tuia will miss a month with a cheekbone fracture. Continue reading →

Serie A Injury Report – Round 33

Atalanta: Robin Gosens was a late scratch against Juventus, but he has been called up and therefore avoided serious problems. Luis Muriel suffered a head trauma in a domestic incident, but he is fine and will be back for the next match.

Bologna: Federico Santander and Andrea Poli have recovered from their thigh injuries. Mattia Bani is pretty much done for the season with a calf strain. Jerdy Schouten (thigh) will be back in a pair of weeks.

Brescia: Jesse Joronen is out with an undisclosed injury, joining Andrea Cistana (tibia), Enrico Alfonso and Dimitri Bisoli (patellar tendon) on the mend. Continue reading →

Atalanta: Berat Djimsiti was a late scratch for the Champions League game but he is simply dealing with a bruised quad and so he could be available on Sunday. Tomas Sutalo continues nursing a foot edema.

Bologna: Stefano Denswil and Jerdy Schouten were red carded last week. Gary Medel (hamstring) and Roberto Soriano (thigh bruise) are the closest to recovering, but this week is too early for them. Mitchell Dijks (foot) and Ladislav Krejci (knee) will not be back before the end of the month, same for Federico Santander (hip) and Nicola Sansone (hamstring). Milan sign Saelemaekers after cull

Milan have parted ways with three meaningful pieces of their recent past: the oft-maligned but generally productive Suso has moved to Sevilla on 18-month season-long loan with conditioned obligation to buy, Krzysztof Piatek was sold to Hertha Berlin and Ricardo Rodriguez transferred to PSV. Despite some prolonged underwhelming stretches, the Spaniard winger has been able to tally at least six goals and seven assists in each of the last three years and served as a massive reference point. He has struggled this year and recently fell out of favour due to a tactical switch, with Samu Castillejo taking over on the right wing. He will be bought out by Sevilla for €20M if they qualify to Champions League. Continue reading →
