Top Five Fantasy Football Goalkeepers – Serie A – Round 22

wojciech szczesny roma
Lazio will travel to Chievo in some hours, and that game will set the game week 22 of the top tier of Italian football in motion. Juventus and AS Roma boast of the best defences in the league, and it is no surprise that their goalkeepers feature on our list.

However, none of them comes cheap in the transfer market. So, if you don’t want to splurge on a goalkeeper then we also have a number of cheaper options in the list.

Here are our five goalkeeper picks for the game week 22 in Serie A:

1. Wojciech Szczesny (AS Roma)

The Polish goalkeeper, who is playing for a Roma on a second-consecutive season long loan from Arsenal, comfortably sits at the tip of our list. He has started all 21 league games for his side this season and has kept nine clean sheets. He has managed 51 points and costs a considerable amount of 8m in the market. He is an attractive option with a P/P score of 7.3.

2. Lukasz Skorupski (Empoli)

The second spot in our list is also occupied by a Polish goalkeeper with an AS Roma-connection. Skorupski, currently on loan at Empoli from Roma, is a real bargain on our list. He costs a mere 2m in the market and has accumulated 40 points. He has kept impressive ten clean sheets in 19 appearances this season. He boasts of a highly-impressive P/P ratio of 23.5.

3. Etrit Berisha (Atlanta)

The top end of our list is completely dominated by goalkeepers currently playing on loan moves. The Albanian, who is on loan at Atlanta from Lazio, has recently returned from a knee injury and picked up a clean sheet in the game against Sampdoria last weekend. He has made only 13 appearances this season and has managed to keep clean sheets in six of them. He is available for just 3m and has picked up 36 points. He has a P/P ratio of 14.3.

4. Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus)

The Italian legend is arguably the best goalkeeper in Italy at the moment. However, this season he has managed only 17 starts and has kept six clean sheets. He has a decent point tally of 34, but his price of 14m can prove to be too much for some managers. Due to his high price, he has an average P/P ratio of 2.9.

5. Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan)

The young Italian prodigy has firmly established himself in Milan’s first-team. This season, he has kept seven clean sheets in 20 appearances for Milan. He has picked up 25 points, but he has a ridiculously low price-tag of 2m, which gives him a P/P ratio of 11.5.
