Several suspensions and few notable injuries could impact the next Serie A round. Here are the updates.

Napoli:  Raul Albiol missed the last game due to muscle fatigue but he is on track to play this week. Faouzi Ghoulam and Arek Milik continue to work through their rehab protocol.

Juventus:  Juan Cuadrado underwent sports hernia surgery earlier this week and will be sidelined for at least a month, per the official statement by the club, even though it will take him longer than that to re-find the best physical condition. Douglas Costa has a bruised calf and Federico Bernardeschi slightly tweaked a knee in the last game: the injuries are not significant, the latter has more chances to play this week than the former. Medhi Benatia was subbed off against Atalanta because of a small groin ailment, but he could end up playing on Sunday. Paulo Dybala and Benedikt Howedes are getting closer to a return, but they will not be available this week. All systems go for Gianluigi Buffon and Claudio Marchisio, who have solved their problems.

Lazio: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Senad Lulic are suspended. Stefan De Vrij was taken out the first of the two Milan tilts and missed the second one because of some muscle fatigue and is questionable for the next fixture, but he has a chance to play this week. Davide Di Gennaro will miss some more time with a calf strain.

Inter: Mauro Icardi pulled an adductor muscle midweek and will not play on Saturday.

Roma: Patrik Schick got hurt late last week and is expected to be out for a couple of weeks with a pulled hamstring. Diego Perotti, Stephan El Shaarawy have recovered from their injuries, Daniele De Rossi and Maxime Gonalons need more time to get back.

Sampdoria:  Fabio Quagliarella and Ivan Strinic are expected to re-claim their starting jobs after being relegated to the bench by a sore hamstring and back spasms respectively. Dennis Praet will be on the shelf for over a month due to a hamstring strain. Vid Belec is suspended for three games.

Milan:  Ricardo Rodriguez had to go through a heavy intestinal issue and will not play this weekend. Andrea Conti was inserted in the Europa League list so he is expected to return fairly soon after an early ACL tear.

Atalanta:  Leonardo Spinazzola solved a small calf injury and will return to the squad list. The newcomer Luca Rizzo immediately went down a grade 2 adductor MTJ strain and will miss considerable time, probably a couple of months. Mattia Caldara and Alejandro Gomez are trending in the wrong direction in terms of availaibility due to some small injuries, by the coach admitted that Josip Ilicic has some troubles playing every three days.

Udinese:  Silvan Widmer could make his return this week this week after missing time with muscle fatigue. Gabriele Angella and Valon Behrami have already worked their way back after hamstring strains, so Ali Adnan is the only one out with that kind of injury. Samir is suspended.

Torino: Lyanco is out with an ankle sprain, while Simone Edera is trying to get back from the same issue.

Fiorentina: German Pezzella is suspended, but no further problems for Stefano Pioli.

Bologna: Simone Verdi was subbed off right away in the Napoli fixture and suffered a biceps femoris strain that will keep him out for about a month. Giancarlo Gonzalez has missed the last two games with back pain. Rodrigo Palacio is a little banged up.

Chievo:  Roberto Inglese and Lucas Castro are making progress in their recoveries from knee issues: they have an outside shot at being called up. Nenad Tomovic was taken out last week with an apparent hamstring injury and he is not expected to be available. Stefano Sorrentino missed a couple of practices with the flu. Samuel Bastien and Fabrizio Cacciatore are suspended.

Sassuolo:  Edoardo Goldaniga is disqualified and Timo Letschert is out for the long-term due to an ACL tear.

Genoa:  Miguel Veloso will be sidelined for about a month due to a calf strain. Armando Izzo has a knee injury that will likely force him to rest for a while. Giuseppe Rossi is out for at least a couple more weeks with a pulled hamstring. Santiano Gentiletti is dealing with an undisclosed injury. Nicolas Spolli is suspended.

Cagliari: Fabio Pisacane is suspended. Paolo Faragò had nose surgery due to a fracture, but he could play with the help of a mask. Alessio Cragno suffered an orbital trauma that could force him to sit out.

Crotone:  Adrian Stoian was quickly taken out of the last match due to a knee/calf issue, but he might not miss time. Mario Sampirisi suffered a cheekbone and jaw fracture in an horrific clash with Cragno and will obviously miss some time.

Spal: Sergio Floccari has a neck strain, while Marco Borriello has yet to solve a calf edema, so Leonardo Semplici could be without two strikers. Eros Schiavon is out with a calf strain, Pa Konate with a foot fracture. Thiago Cionek has an eye injury, but he has been called up.

Verona:  Alessio Cerci had a relapse of his hamstring femoris injury and should miss three more weeks. Mattia Zaccagni is close to returning after a patellar tendon injury. Moise Kean is suspended.

Benevento: no absentees besides Fabio Lucioni, who is suspended. Pietro Iemmello and Achraf Lazaar are available after their lengthy knee problems, even though it will take time for them to be in tip-top shape.
