Serie A Injury Report – Round 17

Juventus: Sami Khedira should be back to the squad list after missing time with an ankle sprain. Joao Cancelo, Juan Cuadrado (knee) and Andrea Barzagli are not expected to return in 2018.

Napoli: Simone Verdi is likely to be called up as he has been working with the rest of the team for a week now. Mario Rui missed the last game due to muscle fatigue and has been excluded from the squad list again. Alex Meret has a sore shoulder that needs to be monitored. Allan has been ruled out due to back pain.

Inter: Kwadwo Asamoah is suspended. Matias Vecino (thigh) and Dalbert (calf) have been on the sidelines for the last few games, but they will be available. Joao Miranda is fatigued and is very likely to miss the game.

Milan: Franck Kessie and Tiemoué Bakayoko are disqualified. Fabio Borini is dealing with an ankle sprain. Alessio Romagnoli returned last week from a calf injury. Andrea Bertolacci picked up a muscular injury in the final practice and will miss out on a rare opportunity to start.

Lazio: Lucas Leiva is having a hard time shaking off a thigh ailment, but he has a shot. Valon Berisha skipped one with a minor muscular issue, but he could be back.

Atalanta: Jose Palomino subbed off from the Lazio game due to muscle fatigue, but it is not a major problem.

Roma: Edin Dzeko is trying to recover in time from a thigh strain to be at least in the squad list for the Juventus match. Lorenzo Pellegrini is unlikely to be ready, while Stephan El Shaarawy has some slim chances. They are all nursing thigh strains that have forced them to sit out multiple games. Daniele De Rossi, who has had knee cartilage issues, was called up last week, but he is out again due cartilage problems. Ante Coric has a calf ailment. Alessandro Florenzi had some minor knee problems this week, but he should not miss time.

Sassuolo: Kevin-Prince Boateng is progressing in his recovery from a pelvis problem, but he should not be available this week. Filip Djuricic will serve the final game of his suspension. Alfred Duncan is said to be banged up.

Sampdoria: Bartosz Bereszynski is likely to miss two more games due to a thigh strain. Edgar Barreto suffered a new injury. 

Fiorentina: no concerns for Stefano Pioli.

Torino: Iago Falque missed the Derby due to a minor muscular ailment, but he is slated to return on Saturday. Salvatore Sirigu is questionable for a blow he took in the back.

Parma: Gervinho is working his way back from a thigh strain and could be available at least in limited fashion on Saturday. Federico Dimarco is not far away from returning from his abdominal tear. Alessandro Deiola has the flu.

Cagliari: Leonardo Pavoletti is iffy to this week too due to a thigh strain, like Charalampos Lykogiannis due to a calf one. Darijo Srna and Luca Ceppitelli are suspended.

Empoli: Rade Krunic is disqualified. Manuel Pasqual was ruled out last week due to muscle fatigue, but he is feeling better. Ismael Bennacer bowed out from the last game due to a hit on the fibula: he did not fracture it, but he had to be stitched up and he is questionable for Saturday.

SPAL: Manuel Lazzari has been under the wheater this week, but should be fine. Simone Missiroli has a bruised thigh and will not be at the coach’s disposal. 

Genoa: reserves Gianluca Lapadula and Koray Gunter are primed to be back after missing a little time with unspecified minor injuries, while Luca Mazzitelli could stay on the mend a little longer.

Udinese: no updates as far as their long-term injured players go, since Lukasz Teodorczyk (sports hernia surgery), Samir (ankle sprain), Emmanuel Badu (knee) and Svante Ingelsson (ACL tear) are not expected to return before the break.

Bologna:  Erick Pulgar should miss another because of calf strain. Andrea Poli will be out due to a toenail infection. 

Frosinone: Marco Capuano is out with the flu. They will again be without Federico Dionisi (ACL tear), Emil Hallfredsson (patellar tendon surgery) and Luca Paganini (ACL tear).

Chievo: Ivan Radovanovic is suspended. Joel Obi and Fabrizio Cacciatore were out last week due to some bruises: the midfielder is available, while the defender is still out.
