Juventus: Sami Khedira should be back to the squad list after missing time with an ankle sprain. Joao Cancelo, Juan Cuadrado (knee) and Andrea Barzagli are not expected to return in 2018.

Napoli: Simone Verdi is likely to be called up as he has been working with the rest of the team for a week now. Mario Rui missed the last game due to muscle fatigue and has been excluded from the squad list again. Alex Meret has a sore shoulder that needs to be monitored. Allan has been ruled out due to back pain.

Inter: Kwadwo Asamoah is suspended. Matias Vecino (thigh) and Dalbert (calf) have been on the sidelines for the last few games, but they will be available. Joao Miranda is fatigued and is very likely to miss the game. Continue reading

Juventus: Emre Can made the squad list, approximately two months after suffering the thyroid issue. Rodrigo Bentancur is dealing with a back problem, but he was called up. Alex Sandro (thigh) and Sami Khedira (ankle) have been ruled out, same for Andrea Barzagli, who is rumoured to have suffered a severe quad injury, and Moise Kean, who has some muscle fatigue.

Serie A Fantasy Predictions – Round 14

The next Serie A slate is pretty tasty on paper.

Fiorentina-Juventus: the Viola are having a weird season. They started off decently, showing well especially at home, where they are still undefeated and have a sound defense, but they have struggled to score recently. They have not netted more than one since late September and they have drawn in their last five matches, against Cagliari, Torino, Roma, Frosinone and Bologna. On the other hand, the Old Lady is cruising with 12 wins in the year, four in a row after the tumble against Genoa, but it will be tested before the break. Fiorentina’s offensive problems stem primarily from Giovanni Simeone and Marko Pjaca’s poor form, as they have combined for just three goals so far. Federico Chiesa is always doing stuff, but he has not bagged many as well. Continue reading

Inter acquire Radja Nainggolan

Inter have announced the purchase of Radja Nainggolan from Roma on Tuesday. The Nerazzurri have paid €24M in cash and included the fullback Davide Santon and the prospect Davide Zaniolo in the deal, for a package worth €38M in total. The 30-year-old has signed a four-year contract.

Nainggolan joined La Lupa from Cagliari in January of 2014 and quickly became one of the most complete midfielders around, dramatically improving the offensive contribution that appeared to be his weakness in his younger years. Continue reading

Serie A officialize the new transfer market dates

Serie A presidents had decided a few months back to close the transfer market window prior to the first game of the season and the League officially set the dates yesterday: the session will start on July 1st and will end on August 17th, on Friday.
