Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 35

Juventus: Paulo Dybala (quad), Douglas Costa (calf), Mario Mandzukic (knee) and Rodrigo Bentancur (thigh) remain on the shelf and have been joined by Daniele Rugani and Alex Sandro due to new thigh injuries. Martin Caceres has recovered. Emre Can was removed late from the squad list due to a muscular ailment.

Napoli: Lorenzo Insigne and Allan have both recuperated. Nikola Maksimovic (toe) and Amadou Diawara (foot) stay sidelined.

Inter: Matias Vecino has been ruled out due to a thigh contracture. 

Atalanta: Josip Ilicic was unable to play on Monday due to muscle fatigue, but he is trending in the right direction. Robin Gosens bowed out due to a thigh problem, but he recovered enough, while Musa Barrow is out due to some ribs pain.

Roma: Justin Kluivert picked up a mild thigh strain, but he has been called up. Edin Dzeko was knocked on the ankle, but he is expected to be fine. Rick Karsdorp is poised to return to the squad list, Daniele De Rossi and Davide Santon instead have fewer chances. Diego Perotti picked up yet another muscular issue.

Torino: Iago Falque has been ruled out because his left knee flared up again. Vittorio Parigini will miss the Derby due to a thigh pull, while Emiliano Moretti is suspended.

Milan: Alessio Romagnoli is disqualfied and unfortunately Mattia Caldara tore his ACL yesterday and is facing a six-month timetable. Andrea Conti suffered an AC joint sprain and will sit out one.

Lazio: Senad Lulic is suspended. Riza Durmisi could be back after missing one with a muscular issue, while Stefan Radu remains iffy with a bothersome ankle. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is out this week and is targeting the May 15th’s Coppa Italia final for a full return from an ankle sprain. Patric has a thigh problem that has yet to be assessed.

Sampdoria: Gaston Ramirez, Jacopo Sala and Lorenzo Tonelli are suspended. Joachim Andersen is unlikely to return from a thigh problem.

Sassuolo: Federico Peluso is banned while Marlon was in the squad list but unused last Monday after spending time on the mend due to a hamstring strain. Giangiacomo Magnani opted for sports-hernia surgery.

Cagliari: Ragnar Klavan and Lucas Castro have practiced fully after shaking off knee injuries. Paolo Faragò will likely miss the rest of the season due to an acetabular fracture, while Joao Pedro (ankle) and Valter Birsa (arm) could be available.

Fiorentina: Pietro Terracciano was out last week due to muscle fatigue and Federico Chiesa has the flu, but they are both in the squad list.

SPAL: Francesco Vicari is suspended. Marko Jankovic and Lorenco Simic has solved their thigh issues, so Lorenzo Dickmann should be the only one out of commission.

Bologna: Ibrahima Mbaye and Roberto Soriano are disqualified and Federico Mattiello is still dealing with a thigh strain.

Parma: Riccardo Gagliolo was diagnosed with a calf strain and will try to come back for one of the final games. Roberto Inglese and Jonathan Biabiaby will not be back this week form their ankle sprains and Fabio Ceravolo will join them on the disabled list due to a thigh pull. Nicolas Schiappacasse and Abdou Diakhate are out due to muscular injuries.

Genoa: Antonio Sanabria has recovered from his knee ailment. Stefano Sturaro requires knee surgery due to an ACL tear.

Udinese: Samir is suspended. Hidde Ter Avest should be available after missing a month, while the recoveries of Nicholas Opoku (knee), Seko Fofana (thigh) and William Troost-Ekong (thigh) are more uncertain. Sebastien De Maio had some back pain earlier this week but should gut it out.

Empoli: Cristiano Dell’Orco remains sidelined while Matias Silvestre has shaken off his injury. Luca Antonelli (calf), Domenico Maietta (thigh) and Antonino La Gumina are ways away.

Frosinone: Federico Viviani and Bartosz Salamon remain on the shelf due to thigh strains and are joined by Mirko Gori.

Chievo: Pawel Jaroszynski should be ready to contribute this week after being a late scratch last Sunday. Federico Barba and Mehdi Leris are suspended, no changes on their policy about the veterans Emanuele Giaccherini, Stefano Sorrentino, Luca Rossettini and Stefano Sorrentino, who have likely played their final game. Mattia Bani has been ruled out because of a knock.
