Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 21

Atalanta: Timothy Castagne is out with a sore knee for the second week in a row. 

Bologna: Mattia Bani and Nicola Sansone are suspended. Stefano Denswil and Gary Medel and Ladislav Krejci (knee) remain sidelined.

Brescia: Mario Balotelli was slapped with a two-game suspension.

Cagliari: Fabio Pisacane is suspended. Marko Rog and Alberto Cerri both pulled the flexors in the right thigh and will be out for a couple of weeks. Federico Mattiello and Lucas Castro will be back following muscle fatigue and while Fabrizio Cacciatore and Luca Ceppitelli (foot) are not ready. 

Fiorentina: Dalbert is suspended, Kevin-Prince Boateng is out to a bruised knee.

Genoa: Francesco Cassata is out due to yellow-card accumulation. Cristian Zapata will not be back from his muscular issue, ditto for Lukas Lerager.

Inter: Antonio Candreva is disqualified. Marcelo Brozovic mildly sprained his ankle and might not be able to play this week. Danilo D’Ambrosio should return from a hamstring ailment, Roberto Gagliardini is trying to shake off a foot contusion.

Juventus: Danilo picked up a thigh strain and will be out for at least ten days. Mattia De Sciglio and Emre Can are out for transfer market-related reasons. 

Lazio: Luis Alberto is trending positively after a midweek scare due to muscle fatigue. Jordan Lukaku might be in the squad list after missing time with a knee injury, Adam Marusic remains sidelined.

Lecce: Diego Farias, Giannelli Imbula and Marco Calderoni have been ruled out again, Yevhen Shakhov instead is available. 

Milan: Hakan Calhanoglu, Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez have been called up after small injuries, while Davide Calabria (ankle) and Lucas Biglia (thigh) stay on the mend.

Napoli: Nikola Maksimovic has been be called up but he is not 100%. Allan, who was banged up anyway, flew to Brazil for the birth of his third child. Kalidou Koulibaly, Dries Mertens and Faouzi Ghoulam, all dealing with hamstring issues, stay on the mend, like Amin Younes. 

Parma: Gervinho has not been able to recover. Alberto Grassi has solved his back problem, while Antonino Barillà has some tendinopathy in the left thigh and will sit out this one. Roberto Inglese underwent surgery to repair a tendon tear in the left thigh: he will have to rest completely for three weeks and faces a long recovery, so his season might be over.

Roma: Amadou Diawara suffered a knee trauma and is weighing his treatment options, as surgery would knock him out for two months. Diego Perotti and Javier Pastore are available for the weekend, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan (thigh) is not. 

Sampdoria: Julian Chabot is suspended. Gaston Ramirez is close to a full recovery from a knee sprain, while Fabio Depaoli will miss another one with an ankle one. Jakub Jankto has the flu. Ronaldo Vieira and Nicola Murru are dinged up. 

Sassuolo:  Gregoire Defrel (ankle) and Marlon (hamstring) will be on the squad list even though the coach said that they are not fully ready. Alfred Duncan is questionable, Vlad Chiriches and Gianmarco Ferrari (hamstring) will need more time. 

SPAL: Felipe has nursed an eye problem.

Torino: Ola Aina and Tomas Ricon are suspended. Cristian Ansaldi will not return this week, Simone Zaza will be out for about 15 days, while Daniele Baselli picked up a new calf problem and has a similar timetable.

Udinese: Samir remains the only injured player.

Verona: Mattia Zaccagni is suspended. Marash Kumbulla subbed off due to a headache last week but should be fine for Sunday.
