Serie A Injury and Suspension Report – Round 23

Atalanta: Marten De Roon is suspended, newcomer Tomas Sutalo is out for a month with a foot injury.

Bologna: Andrea Poli is disqualified. Nicola Sansone suffered a hamstring strain, Federico Santander a hip muscle one and they will both miss three-to-four weeks. No returns among the previously injured Gary Medel (hamstring) and Ladislav Krejci (knee).

Brescia: Ernesto Torregrossa is out due to yellow-card accumulation. Andrea Cistana  and Sandro Tonali dealt with some muscle fatigue but should be good to go. 

Cagliari: Luca Cigarini is suspended. Daniele Ragatzu has shaken off his illness, while Luca Ceppitelli trained partially after a long time on the shelf due to planter fasciitis, so he is finally on track, even though this week might be too early. Federico Mattiello is dealing with muscle fatigue again. Marko Rog remains sidelined by a hamstring strain.

Fiorentina: Gaetano Castrovilli will be back following a head injury, at least for a stint, while Alfred Duncan will stay on the shelf with a thigh one.

Genoa: Cristian Romero and Valon Behrami are disqualified. Lukas Lerager remains iffy with his groin problem, but he should not be out for too long.

Inter: Alessandro Bastoni is suspended and Lautaro Martinez will finish serving his ban. Samir Handanovic will try to play through a pinkie infraction but his availability will go down to the wire. Stefano Sensi (calf) and Borja Valero (thigh) have more chances to be called up than Roberto Gagliardini (foot).

Juventus: Federico Bernardeschi will probably be held out due to a sore calf. Danilo is not expected back this week from his hamstring strain. Giorgio Chiellini resumed practicing with the group months removed from his ACL tear and is poised for a mid-month return.

Lazio: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Stefan Radu are disqualified. Joaquin Correa and Danilo Cataldi will be available off the bench after calf injuries. Senad Lulic has been ruled out due to an achy ankle, Bastos due to a last-minute muscular issue. 

Lecce: Gabriel (back), Panagiotis Tachtisidis (knee), Khouma Babacar and Diego Farias (thigh) will stay on the mend, joined by Biagio Meccariello due to an undisclosed injury Zan Majer and Riccardo Saponara have been under the weather but they have been called up. 

Milan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic sat out the last game due to the flu and a calf ailment, but he should be ready this week, likewise Simon Kjaer. Lucas Biglia is expected back from a thigh injury. Rade Krunic will miss at least a month with a third metatarsal fracture in the right foot. 

Napoli: Elijf Elmas is suspended. Fabian Ruiz has not shaken off the flu, while Faouzi Ghoulam is improving in his recovery from a hamstring problem, but he is again unavailable.

Parma: Andreas Cornelius (gluteus), Dejan Kulusevki (hip) and Matteo Scozzarella (calf) all practiced fully Friday: the first two have been called, the midfielder instead has notYann Karamoh is back in the squad list three months after a partial LCL tear in the right knee. 

Roma: Lorenzo Pellegrini is disqualified. Amadou Diawara will be re-evaluated in a week following a meniscus injury.

Sampdoria: Fabio Quagliarella, Gaston Ramirez and Jakub Jankto subbed off versus Napoli, but all avoided significant injuries and are unlikely to miss time, although they might be limited this week.

Sassuolo: Alessandro Tripaldelli underwent sports-hernia surgery and is out for the foreseeable future. Vlad Chiriches is the only other player on the injury list. Marlon and Filip Djuricic missed some practice time but they should be fine.

SPAL: Thiago Cionek should return after missing one with a foot injury. Mo Fares has resumed practicing fully after the ACL tear. Alberto Cerri will be out a little longer with a hamstring issue.

Torino: Simone Verdi and Andrea Belotti picked up some dings and bruises in the last match but they are expected to be good to go. Cristian Ansaldi has only an outside shot at returning from a calf injury, while Daniele Baselli and Simone Zaza will need more time. Simone Edera is dealing with bursitis in the right knee.

Udinese: newcomer Sebastian Prodl is out for four-to-six weeks due to a knee injury. Samir remains out. 

Verona: Eddie Salcedo (knee) is the only meaningful player on the disabled list. Andrea Danzi is out for the season with an ankle injury.
