Serie A Injury and Supension Report – Round 31

Atalanta: José Palomino is suspended.

Bologna: Roberto Soriano was red-carded in the last game and has been suspended for two matches. Gary Medel was a late scratch for the last game due to back spasm, but he is in the squad list. Ibrahima Mbaye and Andreas Skov Olsen (thigh) recovered enough to be called up. Andrea Poli and Federico Santander are nursing thigh strains.

Brescia: Andrea Cistana (lower leg surgery), Jhon Chancellor (thigh) and Dimitri Bisoli (patellar tendon) remain sidelined, Emanuele Ndoj and Enrico Alfonso are questionable. 

Cagliari: Andrea Carboni was sent off on Sunday, while Radja Nainggolan had to sub off due to calf pain, but it seems like he stopped just in time and he is available. Gaston Pereiro shook off some muscle fatigue but he was out for personal reasons in the previous game and remains sidelined. Luca Pellegrini hurt his ankle in his most recent appearances and he is out as well, like Christian Oliva, who has been dealing with the same problem for a while. Luca Ceppitelli (thigh) will miss some more time.

Fiorentina: German Pezzella is supended. Frank Ribery bowed out of the Parma match due to a blow to the surgically repaired ankle but the early indications are positive. Marco Benassi is out for the season with a severe calf strain. Bartlomiej Dragowski did not feature in the last round as he was dealing with minor muscular problems.

Genoa: Domenico Criscito shook off a calf edema. Antonio Barreca and Peter Ankersen are banged up but available. Cristian Romero has been ruled out with a minor thigh injury. 

Inter: Nicolò Barella will miss at least a week with a thigh pull. Alessandro Bastoni and Danilo D’Ambrosio are suspended. Victor Moses (thigh) is probably out again.

Juventus: Paulo Dybala and Matthijs De Ligt are disqualified. Giorgio Chiellini (fitness) and Alex Sandro (MCL sprain) resumed practicing fully and could be called up, while Mattia De Sciglio stays on the shelf.

Lazio: Joaquin Correa tore the MCL in his left knee and will miss about 20 days. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic subbed off due to an ankle trauma but it is believed to be a minor thing.

Lecce: Panagiotis Tachtsidis is banned. Luca Rossettini had to be hospitalized due to a persistent fever, but he tested negative for COVID-19. Biagio Meccariello missed the past game due to an undisclosed issue. Zan Majer (thigh), Alessandro Deiola (knee) and Cristiano Dell’Orco (groin) have decent chances to be called up for this one after being sidelined for a while.

Milan: Hakan Calhanoglu subbed off against Lazio but it should be a simple knock on the calf and therefore he could be good to go. Samu Castillejo and Leo Duarte are recovering from thigh injuries.

Napoli: Diego Demme and Kalidou Koulibaly are suspended due to yellow-card accumulation. David Ospina will probably be unavailable, but he has returned to practice after a head injury. Allan sat out the last two games due to muscle fatigue.

Parma: no absentees other than the usual Roberto Inglese (thigh).

Roma: Chris Smalling subbed off in the previous game and will miss 7/10 days with an adductor pull. Juan Jesus is dealing with a hip injury, Mert Cetin with a knee one.

Sampdoria: Ronaldo Vieira missed the last game because of patellar tendon soreness. Lorenzo Tonelli is unlikely to be back from an MCL sprain in this one.

Sassuolo: Filip Djuricic is suspended. Pedro Obiang will stay out with a thigh strain.

SPAL: Thiago Cionek is disqualified. The only injured player that has a chance to be back here is Ervin Zukanovic (thigh), while Mattia Valoti and Mo Fares are slated to be on the mend for a while, while Federico Di Francesco has shaken off his latest thigh problem. 

Torino: Armando Izzo is banned due to yellow-card accumulation.

Udinese: Ken Sema is suspended. Mato Jajalo is out with a thigh pull. 

Verona: Emmanuel Badu subbed off because of a blow to the head against Brescia and is questionable but the tests came back clean, Fabio Borini due to a muscular issue, similar to the one that sidelined him recently, but he avoided a strain so he will not be out for a long time. Sofyan Amrabat and Claud Adjapong are back after some muscle fatigue. Pawel Dawidowicz is out due to of a pec problem and they are all iffy for this round, Eddie Salcedo with a thigh one. Mattia Zaccagni, Giampaolo Pazzini and Salvatore Bocchetti were late scratches.
