Serie A Injury Report – Round 15

Juventus: Emre Can made the squad list, approximately two months after suffering the thyroid issue. Rodrigo Bentancur is dealing with a back problem, but he was called up. Alex Sandro (thigh) and Sami Khedira (ankle) have been ruled out, same for Andrea Barzagli, who is rumoured to have suffered a severe quad injury, and Moise Kean, who has some muscle fatigue.

Napoli: Simone Verdi will remain on the mend because of an ankle sprain, while Adam Ounas missed the last game with a minor muscular ailment. Alex Meret should be ready to start.

Inter: Radja Nainggolan (thigh) and Dalbert (calf) will not return this week.

Milan: Gonzalo Higuain has finished serving his suspension. Alessio Romagnoli (calf) and Mateo Musacchio (knee) have a shot to be ready in a couple of weeks. Fabio Borini is out with an ankle injury.

Lazio: Luis Alberto has shaken off the latest groin issue. Lucas Leiva and Adam Marusic (contracture) questionable because of a thigh injuries.

Torino: no injuries for Walter Mazzarri’s squad.

Roma: Federico Fazio skipped the last fixture because of an ankle injury, but he will be available on Sunday. Kostas Manolas has a bruised leg and he is questionable. Lorenzo Pellegrini suffered a separate hamstring issue and could be on the shelf for a while. Edin Dzeko and Stephan El Shaarawy both have thigh (biceps femoris) strains and will not come back this week and are unlikely for the next one too. Ante Coric suffered a calf strain, while Rick Karsdorp had an old scar flare up in his thigh. Daniele De Rossi (knee) is unlikely to be ready.

Sassuolo: no updates for the Neroverdi, who are again slated to be without Kevin-Prince Boateng (pelvis), Jeremie Boga (tibia), Claud Adjapong (fibula) and Lorenzo Sernicola (ankle).

Parma: Alberto Grassi suffered an ACL tear and his season could very well be over. Gervinho picked up a biceps femoris strain and he could be out for a two or three weeks. Luca Siligardi missed the last one with a thigh pull.

Sampdoria:  Edgar Barreto is struggling to return from a thigh strain.

Atalanta: Musa Barrow should be back after being held out because of an eye trauma and Rafael Toloi has shaken off a thigh ailment. Josip Ilicic is suspended, Berat Djimsiti is out with a groin injury.

Fiorentina:  Vitor Hugo is disqualified. Federico Chiesa has suffered a late groin problemm while Bryan Dabo has been ruled out due to a hip contusion. 

Cagliari: Niccolò Barella was sent off in the previous game. Charalampos Lykogiannis is iffy because of a calf problem, while Artur Ionita and Marco Sau are banged up, but they should recover in time.

Genoa: Romulo and Daniel Bessa are suspended. Nicolas Spolli (thigh) and Luca Mazzitelli are on the wrong side of questionable.

SPAL: Thiago Cionek was red carded in the last match. Lorenco Simic is dealing with a sore ankle.

Udinese: Samir underwent ankle surgery to repair the capsular ligament after a severe sprain and he could be on the mend for three or four months. Antonin Barak continues to have troubles with his back. Valon Behrami has a bruised ankle, but he is available. Andrija Balic is expected to return from a thigh ailment.

Empoli: Lorenzo Lollo and Joel Untersee are questionable because of muscular problems.

Bologna: Arturo Calabresi is disqualified. Blerin Dzemaili has returned in Coppa Italia from a knee contusion, while Federico Santander picked up a mild ankle sprain that could force him to miss time. Mattia Destro and Mattias Svanberg have the flu.

Frosinone: Emil Hallfredsson went under the knife to repair the patellar tendon and he could on the mend for three of four months. Luka Krajnc (ankle) and Mirko Gori (flu, knee) are out.

Chievo: Luca Rossettini is suspended for yellow-card accumulation. Emanuele Giaccherini has a toe problem but he is at the coach’s disposal. Nenad Tomovic is questionable because of a thigh strain. Back-up goalie Andrea Seculin tore his ACL.
