Let’s take a look at the top five games of the midweek round.

Inter-Cagliari: the Nerazzurri have failed to win and to score in their last three outings, but had pretty good chances in all three of them, so it is likely just a temporary issue. What is persistent, though, is that they are getting next to nothing offensively from players not named Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi. Serie A Player Status Updates – Round 32

Here are the latest updates on few players’ conditions heading into the next Serie A matchday.

Juventus:  Mattia De Sciglio was taken out of the Real Madrid match due to an apparent plantar fascia lesion that will require further testing. Federico Bernardeschi and Andrea Barzagli are working their way back from a knee sprain and an abdominal strain and practiced partially this week, but they will likely not be available this week.

Napoli: Mario Rui is suspended, no other absentees other than the usual one, Faouzi Ghoulam.

Serie A Player Status Updates – Round 31

Once again the conditions of some of Serie A’s top players need to be monitored entering the next round.

Juventus: Andrea Barzagli suffered an abdominal injury against Real Madrid and he could miss one or two weeks. Federico Bernardeschi is again not in the squad list, even though he is close.

Napoli: Raul Albiol and Jorginho are suspended and Faouzi Ghoulam is out with a fibula fracture. Lorenzo Tonelli is a little banged up, while Vlad Chiriches was called up last week after a six-week absence due to a hamstring injury.

Serie A Fantasy Game Predictions – Round 28

Serie A returns on the pitch with a heavy heart: the upcoming round is headlined by Inter-Napoli.

Roma-Torino: the Giallorossi will try to carry on their good momentum after a terrific win at San Paolo. While they have an elite road record, they have not been as convincing at home lately, but the last result could propel them. Patrik Schick is set to start because Edin Dzeko is suspended and he will try to turn his season around. Cengiz Under is undoubtedly the most appealing option, recently also Diego Perotti has had some decent showings, but there could be some rotation ahead to the midweek game against Shakhtar Donetsk: Lorenzo Pellegrini and Stephan El Shaarawy are always pretty active when fielded. Torino will try to bounce back after two straight losses: Andrea Belotti has shown signs of his best self, while Iago Falque has been their best contributor so far this season. Both him and Adem Ljajic are ex-Roma players and Eusebio Di Francesco’s back-line has been less stout than usual recently.
